Le Bolle is the geographical name of a hamlet bordering on one of the Castello Vicchiomaggio vineyards. The area is just 1.7 HA of very stony soil giving a very limited yield.
Vinification in small stainless steel vats for about 18-21 days. Maturation for 16– 18 months in a combination of small oak casks of 10 hl. (1,000 lt.) and medium size of 25hl. (2,500 lt.), all oak from the classic forest areas of France. There follows at least 12 months bottle maturation ensuring that the complexity of the wine has time to develop.
