Product Notes

The special location of the estate enables the production of an exceptional, very elegant Brunello, from Sangiovese grosso grapes picked by hand with great care. Considerable importance is given by the fact that the cellar is located adjacent to the vineyards, this allows little time intervening between harvesting and crushing avoiding any unwanted early fermentation and grapes breaking due to transportation. Its main characteristics, in particular the distinctively intense fragrance, the prompt and harmonious roundness of tannins, and the long finish, are the result of the particular position and noteworthy microclimate of the vineyards.

Seasonal conditions: winter with temperatures on the average but with very little rain. Fresh spring, May with one of the highest rainfall levels ever (230 mms). Hot and dry summer interrupted by three days of heavy thunderstorms. The alternation between hot weather and thunderstorms continued until September. The seasons were not regular but led to a beautiful harvest in terms of quality and quantity giving full-bodied wines with great fruit and finesse.
